Tale of Four Kings

Once upon a time, in a far away land, there lived four great kings who ruled four great kingdoms. They ruled with benevolence and great wisdom and their people loved them dearly.

But the land was plagued with an ancient evil. Great wings covered the sun while the ground quaked with its breath, it wreaked havoc throughout the land. To appease the dragon’s wrath, a beautiful maiden was sacrificed at the foot of a mountain on the seventh day of the seventh month of each year. And the people lived in seven months of prosperity followed by seven months of fear.

At last, the four brave kings decided to rid the land of the dragon. As the seventh month drew close, they picked a maiden of the purest heart as their final sacrifice and marched towards the mountains. A great battle took place there that day.

And the dragon was slain.

The four Kings paid a heavy price and sacrificed their lives to seal the great evil under the great mountains of Belisle.

And great peace blessed the land.

Debut at AME Monogatari Con
